CEC certification is an appliance energy efficiency regulation (Appliance Efficiency Regulation) implemented by the California Energy Commission on December 30, 2005. The purpose of the regulation is to improve the efficiency of electrical products, save energy, and reduce gas emissions and greenhouse effects.
